Jay Z and Beyoncé are the couple to beat when it comes to raw power.
"Vanity Fair" has ranked the husband and wife duo at the top of its annual list of "The New Establishment." The magazine points out that both Jay and Bey have dominated the music industry, and are "only getting stronger."
Among the reasons the pair are topping this year's list are Jay's recent deal with Samsung that gave away one-million-copies of his album, Magna Carta Holy Grail, before its wide release. The deal earned "Magna Carta" a platinum certification on the day of its arrival. The publication also praises Beyoncé for her Super Bowl halftime performance, as well as her HBO documentary and world tour.
Among the other members of the "New Establishment" are Dr. Dre, Jimmy Iovine, Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert and Mark Zuckerberg.
